How many nights have you spent staring at the night sky filled with so many stars and Earth's Only Natural Satellite; identifying constellations and searching with wandering eyes just in case you 'stumble' upon an astronomical object that had somehow tricked the Hubble and the astronomers had failed to identify it and at the same time wishing that only if dad could afford that 30x zoom telescope that you had seen at the mall the other day? If your answer is [10 ^ tan 90]times, then you are definitely an Astromanitarian.

I personally have always been passionate about aerospace and space exploration and dreamt of contributing towards Human exploration of space. When I came to hear about the Google Lunar X Prize, I was ecstatic; somewhere I knew that I needed to do something. I do honor the teams that have assembled to take part in this challenge; but at the same time I feel that they are more interested about the commercial aspect. I am not sure if they are as passionate about space exploration as a teenager who has grown up idolizing Neil Armstrong and Kalpana Chawla is; but who never had the resource to transform his passion into his activity.

With Astromanity, I hope to bring together people like me who lack the funds and resources but not the passion for space exploration or the determination to succeed. I hope Astromanity will bring such bright young minds together and we can start a Lunar X Team of ourselves to fulfill our dream of Space For Humanity & Humanity For Space.

Astromanity's Prime Objectives are:

  * To raise awareness of what could be achieved by returning to the Moon through educational and outreach activities. We want to reach as many people as possible, world-wide, to explain our cause and its benefits to humanity.

  * To promote international cooperation between space enthusiasts working on Space, especially Lunar missions by providing a neutral platform for their discussions
